The Next Step

You've perused the site and you think you'd like Meant to Be to create a one-of-a-kind project for you. What's next?

  1. Contact Robyn. Tell her what type of book or project you would like, and when you need it to be completed. Robyn will set up a consultation, and will email you our client information packet.
  2. Gather your photos and memorabilia. We have created lists of what you might want to include in the different types of books.
  3. Prepare your photos and memorabilia for the project. The client information packet includes a photo inventory form to help you complete this task.
  4. Attend the initial phone consultation. If you live within driving distance of the San Francisco Bay Area, we will be happy to meet you, face-to-face. Otherwise, we have a phone consultation, which will take anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour. We will discuss your personal style, what you hope to accomplish in choosing this project, and our services. You will also be asked to choose the creation type for your project: traditional or digital. You will be given a price quote. The consultation itself is free.
  5. If you still wish to commission Meant to Be, complete the client information forms and send them to us, via email and postal mail. Send your photos and memorabilia to us, as described in the document Providing Photos to Meant to Be. You will also be required to submit half of the project's quoted price (unless other payment options are arranged).
  6. While we create your project, you can use your time to complete your child's nursery, train for a marathon, or create a solution to global warming. You are always welcome to contact Meant to Be with any questions or inspiration ("I was thinking, what if we made the whole thing blue with butterflies?"). Depending on the project, your custom item will be finished within one to four weeks of receiving the photos and memorabilia.
  7. Review the work. For digital scrapbooks, including adoption profiles, Robyn will provide an electronic draft for your review. For traditional scrapbooks, Robyn will take a picture of each layout and email the pictures to you for your review. Any comments will be implemented. If you are dissatisfied with the project, we will work with you until you are a happy client.
  8. Receive your completed project. Digital scrapbooks, including adoption profiles, will be provided to you on CD and in printed book format. Traditional scrapbooks will be provided to you in printed format. If you would like a CD of a traditional scrapbook, there is a fee for that service. For more information, see Pricing .
